Co-pilot posted eerie footage from inside same plane before it crashed killing nine

Videos shared by 20-year-old pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras have attracted renewed attention following the Florida plane crash that killed her and eight other people on November 1, 2026. Her social media posts offered a glimpse of her aviation career, including footage filmed inside a Learjet cockpit.

Filgueiras was the co-pilot aboard a Learjet 60 traveling from Austin, Texas, to North Eleuthera in the Bahamas. The aircraft crashed in Palm Beach County after its crew reported difficult conditions and a rapid descent. All seven passengers and both crew members died.

Her interest in flying had developed into a career while she was still young. She earned her private pilot’s license at 17 while attending West Boca Raton Community High School. She later gained commercial qualifications and became a flight instructor. Her mother, Camila Corteleti, confirmed that her daughter was among those killed.

Published reports say the passengers included entrepreneur Adam Robinson, his wife Helen Sharp, their two children, Anita Maria Cetina, Rachael Reed, and Charmi Fehr.

Investigators are examining the aircraft’s final radio transmissions alongside evidence recovered from the crash site. According to an NTSB briefing reported by WFTV, the crew described light clear ice and moderate turbulence at 35,000 feet. After reporting precipitation, they received permission to climb to 37,000 feet.

Less than 30 seconds later, a transmission reported that the aircraft was descending. A Mayday call followed, along with a report of an overspeed condition. Investigators said there were indications that the jet began breaking apart before impact, but the sequence of events and the cause remained undetermined.

An older air traffic control recording involving the same aircraft, registered N722BD, has also circulated since the crash. LADbible reported that the May exchange concerned turbulence and difficulty maintaining altitude. It has not been confirmed that Filgueiras or the captain of the fatal flight were operating the aircraft during that earlier incident. The recording does not, by itself, establish a connection to Sunday’s crash.

Filgueiras’ family also described a message she reportedly sent her boyfriend shortly before the accident, mentioning turbulence and ice. That account adds to reports about the conditions encountered during the flight, but does not establish why the aircraft went down.

The National Transportation Safety Board has opened an investigation into the crash. Its information remains preliminary and subject to change as investigators gather and assess evidence.
